Captain Kevin Pirkle Fishing
Report: Feb 25 Vol 1 Issue 4

Fishing has really picked up
lately. Reds and trout are stacking up east of three
islands. Fishing the color change south of gas well
flats with live shrimp and a popping cork are a sure
bet for trout. Lures that have been working well are
3”Gulp Shrimp in white and new penny.
The sheepshead are stacking up at
the jetties. Use live, or fresh dead shrimp free lined
with splitshots according to current. Don’t be
surprised if you get into some good trout action also.
Good reports have been coming
from the surf fisherman. The surf has been rough, so
take advantage of any flat days we get.
For a great day of fun, book a
guide for a flats fishing trip.
See you next week,
Captain Kevin Pirkle
