Captain Kevin Pirkle Fishing Report: Feb 25  Vol 1 Issue 4

Jan 1 08 ] Jan 13 08 ] Feb 3 08 ] [ Feb 25 08 ] March 1 ] Spring Break ]

Fishing Report Week of February 25, 2008

Maybe the wind will settle this week. If not, the color changes (where the brown and the green water meet) will be holding trout. Try drifting the outer edges all the way through the brown water using live shrimp and a popping cork. There has been a brownish color to the water in the flats, making it hard to see the reds for sight casting. Use cut ballyhoo or fresh mullet to target the reds.

The surf is holding fish, although it has been a bit rough.  On the days that the surf lays down,  you  just have to get out there.

A favorite locals spot to eat a great breakfast or lunch is the Grapevine Café. I think they close around 3:oo, and they will cook your fish for you.

See You Next Week,

Captain Kevin Pirkle
